What is the South and West Hertfordshire Health and Care Partnership?

Health and Care Partnerships bring together health, social care and voluntary sector organisations to work as one, to improve people's health and wellbeing and ensure communities receive the care they need.

The South and West Hertfordshire Health and Care Partnership is one of three Health and Care Partnerships under the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care System. It plays an an important role in the way health and care is provided for those who live in South and West Hertfordshire.

The Partnership is passionate about making sure that those who live in South and West Hertfordshire have their say in what the Partnership does, and what changes need to be made. To help achieve this, the Partnership has established a Co-production Board and is looking for Patient Volunteers to join.

What is Co-production?

Co-production brings together professionals, people who use services, carers, communities and voluntary organisations, to work in partnership to design and deliver services.

About the Role

As a member of the Co-production Board, you will help shape what patient/public involvement should look like and then provide assurance that it has happened as agreed. You will be involved in various new and exciting projects happening across the Partnership.

You will need to:

  • Live in South and West Hertfordshire. This includes Hertsmere, Dacorum, St. Albans and Harpenden, Three Rivers and Watford.
  • Be willing to offer a patient and/or carer perspective.
  • Have an interest in health, social care and wellbeing.
  • Be prepared to participate in the discussion objectively (not just representing your own interests) with integrity (doing the right thing), accountability (recognising that your input will inform decisions and being prepared to stand by it) and honesty.
  • Be willing to attend monthly meetings, taking place online using Microsoft Teams.
  • Be willing to undertake co-production training.

If you need support to participate - whether this be with technology or reasonable adjustments - this will be accommodated.

The Co-production Board should represent the diversity of South and West Hertfordshire, so we encourage applications from typically under-represented groups.
