Member of the Board of Trustees

Responsible for:

  • Meeting Charity and Company responsibilities
  • Governance and compliance with the organisation’s objectives
  • Organisational oversight
  • Setting strategic direction
  • Networking and working in partnership

Engagement Volunteer

Role includes:

  • Promoting Healthwatch Hertfordshire and the work we do by holding stalls at events
  • Supporting members of the public to share their lived experiences of health &/or social care services
  • Listening to and recording those experiences shared

Enter & View Authorised Representative

Role includes:

  • Conducting Enter & View visits to selected publicly-funded health or social care establishments
  • Talking to service users and their relatives or carers about their lived experiences
  • Supporting us with projects as needed e.g. ‘mystery shopping’ phone calls to services, GP website audit, and more

Representative Volunteer

Role includes:

  • Attending meetings to represent the Healthwatch Hertfordshire view and the patient perspective
  • Feeding back information gathered at these meetings to support our intelligence on services
  • Networking and working in partnership

Your induction training includes:

  • An introduction to who we are and what we do
  • Our policies and procedures such as health & safety and safeguarding
  • Developing your knowledge of health & social care services in Hertfordshire
  • Regular touchpoints with your volunteer lead and the volunteer co-ordinator to make sure you feel supported in your role
  • Pre-agreed out of pocket expenses paid for by the organisation
